Ocean Cay Private Island Tour (2020)

This is a 2020 tour of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Ocean Cay is a part of the Bimini Island chain which is located at the western end of the Bahamas.

The island itself is located 60 miles from PortMiami, giving MSC Cruises the opportunity to stay until midnight and still making it back to Miami within a few hours.

Before Ocean Cay was turned into the paradise it is today, it was an industrial sand excavation site that dated back to 1970. 

Since the cleanup, which involved removing thousands of tons of scrap metal from the ocean floor and adding 170,000 tons of rocks, the 95-acre island has been completely transformed.

Guests on Ocean Cay are able to eat, drink, take part in excursions, as well as a fun night time Junkanoo Parade.
